Fiverr launched a new feature called Subscriptions, which is basically recurring gig payments.

As of now, I don't really understand why you'd want that as a buyer, besides saving a few dollars pr. gig.
When I think of it from the perspective of the seller, it does make sense, because many would probably prefer fixed monthly payments.
With that, more sellers would probably adjust their gigs to better fit a monthly model, overall focusing more on better quality and better customer relations.
That could in the best of worlds, become more of a Virtual Assistant platform, in which you can keep a designer on retainer, a content editor, code fixer etc on retainer, with a certain amount of hours.
I haven't looked into it, but I don't think there's any time tracking at the moment and other project management features, like some freelance sites have, which is I think is what would be needed to make this a success.
