I love this place,so,I thought of asking for your opinion, anyway im not good in seo and I don't like asking questions or pm"ing you guys, with noob questions,I get it most of have projects to handle. My question is investing in learning seo, worth it?gotch is opening an academy but my concern is why would anyone train you to be better than them, truth be told be told most guys dont talk about the goose that laid the golden egg on public forum, but do you guys think its wise to invest in education,ie.seo or whatever program you are on?

I think at this point there is so much free information out there that there's not much of a need to pay anyone for it.

Especially too when there's forums such as this one where no question is a dumb question!

I wouldn't worry about golden eggs, they don't last long. It's not about tricks, its about building a sustainable business.

@CCarter keeps talking about some new boot camp too... maybe you can get in the trenches soon and learn hands on?

Sticking to the info in the last boot camp and the stuff on the news stand here on BuSo will keep you from being led astray on bullshit.

Learning SEO be like:

You sort of learn by trial and error. (Forums and Skype help too)

In reality, people over-complicate it way too much.

There's no really magic to it, just follow the basics and go from there.

Don't buy any guides, ebooks, or any of that. If you do, that's like the first step you can take towards failure right off the bat.

I'm not on any Skype group,anyway@ryuzaki I bet I would love to join the bootcamp but I don't know what criteria ccarter uses to get guys,in all honesty im not that good.

You are weak and take a victim approach to life. You would rather waste months looking for shortcuts then doing actual work. That is the reason you fail.

@contract said Forums and skype, yet you harped in on skype. There are no magic skype chats which will give you the "golden eggs", trust me I'm in all of them. We've seen you around here asking about private members forums - We told you there is no magical secret in those private forums, yet you then went to reddit asking the same question. Yes, we are members of reddit too. We are everywhere, and we are telling you the way to success is hardwork, dedication, focus, and finding a passion.

There are no shortcuts there is no golden goose. All the ideas, techniques, strategies have already been layed out for you for free - all over the internet and on BuSo already. Look at @built, he's able to command 100,000 visitors to his websites in a single day, and he started with nothing, could barely afford $5 hosting. But he had dedication and kept at it for days, weeks, months until he figured out how to make traffic leaks work - and them BAM it clicked.

In the same time period you've been running around different parts of the internet looking for the internet secrets and claim to have not gained any knowledge, really? You are looking for a golden goose that lays some magical golden egg, from your own words. That's from fucking fairytales, LITERALLY - golden eggs are from fairytales with unicorns, and pixie dust, and you are wasting your days and nights looking for them. I'm here to give you a reality check.

Success without hardwork and dedication - that doesn't exist, that's fairytale. Golden eggs secrets that will command 100,000 visitors daily to your website? There are none. There are no secrets that have not been given to you for free already. Maybe you didn't bother reading them cause they consisted of hardwork and dedication and you are just lazy - I dunno, but the information for every type of marketing is already out there for FREE.

Create a website in a field you are passionate about. Put up ads or links to a product so you can make money when visitors click on that ads or product link. Get traffic - www.trafficleaks.com (I literally created a website for this), do on-site SEO, pay with PPC or paid traffic, use social media to get targeted traffic, shit the whole bootcamp section has a ton of teachings and lessons with examples of what people did - do WHATEVER you can to get traffic. Keep testing new traffic sources, and marketing methods, over and over and over - you will have to keep failing, over and over and over, just like @built did. Then one day it will all click and make sense.

Do you know how many marketing campaigns I've failed at? Hundreds. You know how many businesses I've failed at? None  but that's because I left and gave them to my partners, cause I knew it wasn't the right course for me. The difference between me and you is I keep trying new and different things.

The golden egg secret is you have to keep working (dedication), keep testing, keep learning new marketing angles, and keep testing them out, and keep at it. That's your "golden goose egg". There are no shortcuts. @built had to do the months of grinding and failing to get to where he is at - yet in the exact same time you've been looking for some magical egg... Good luck bro.

If you are not willing to work hard, willing to try and fail - over and over, trying new marketing angles, and fail at those than this isn't for you. Just go get a day job and call it a day - you will make a lot more money doing a lot less work, working for someone else instead of being your own boss with your mentality.

We all have fear, mine may be failure, yours maybe death, but we cannot experience death without living, though the truth hurts I'll take one on the chin, because its positive criticism from you guys.

I think investing in education is fine to a degree. It should only be seen as a shortcut in terms of getting straight to the good stuff and not having to work for it and get it through experience.

That's probably why it doesn't stick for 99% of the buyers either. And for a large percentage of them, they are probably hoping for magic money making secrets too, and then never act on the advice that actually takes effort.

This kind of education, the seminars by gurus and the performance optimization stuff like Tony Robbins, is probably only really worth it once you're already successful and want to become super saiyan successful. Because you've already proven that you're capable of applying and learning before this point.

Otherwise, everything to know about SEO and IM is free online on the thousand blogs and forums. You can join skype groups and discuss with people, you can do the same on forums. There's no reason to pay for this kind of knowledge. I do see reason to pay to learn to be more efficient and productive though and to keep your mind state in the flow and at top performence levels.
