Using Your Smartphone As A Webcam

Quick tip for anyone especially while on vaca and wanting to travel as light as possible while still producing content and/or engaging with staff etc.

Screencast O Matic (or whatever vid recording/editing software that tickles your pickle) and iVCam app (there are others take your pic) so the former will register your phone connected by wifi or usb, and use that instead of the built in.

I do alot of screenshot video recordings for youtube content...to my market, but also for training stuff for staff/support/etc.

I like the option of having at least the small lower corner box recording my face so I can engage with people that way vs it just being all screenshot.

If your fancy pants laptop already has killer built in cam/audio...bully for you, ignore this post.

Looks like Apple added functionality into the new MacOS to use your iPhone as a webcam for your desktop/laptop now, too.
