Let's hear it. What'd ya get? My family isn't getting together until New Year's Eve so I'll have to report in later.

Doesn't matter what it is or who gave it to you. Family, clients, or even if you bought it for yourself, let me live vicariously through you because I'll be getting one thing only (we did a name drawing this year with a limit of $20 per gift, so I got hosed in one way but I'm saving money too, so whatevs).

Bonus points for pictures, even if they're from online.

A traditional icelandic wool sweater, similar to this:
[dead pic]

It's a 100% natural product, is very warm and easy to keep clean. Can last for a lifetime and can be used for outdoor stuff or just for wearing down to the shop in the cold. A little too warm for indoor use. Traditionally worn by fishermen. Cost is from $150 to $300, but then you get a lifetime product, that is natural.

does a cheap server from SoYouStart(+Proxmox*6 +GSA SER) count?

I know...

Nice, they are very typical where I'm from ... but where I live now it's too warm to wear (all though I have 6-7 chunky sweaters like these that I've gotten from my grandmother and mother who both knit a lot of these traditional style sweaters).

I got books, some nice bottles and a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Exactly what I wanted.

I got exactly what I asked for: a coffee grinder. I was expecting a simple one but got one with a few more settings to choose from which is nice.

Also a liter of vodka (???) haha I guess I'll be making some Russian coffees before I write during the week.

Wifey decided to be creative and got me these (my initials)

So, I guess this is your way of telling us that you're an artificial intelligence..

so are those eero things an actual router or just range extenders

I believe they can be used as both. Right now, I just have one connected via ethernet to my Fios router-modem, and the other two are spread around. It told me I could turn the Fios router functionality off and just use it as a modem. Eero's creates a whole new network for you.

So only one needs to be connected to the modem and then the satellites pick up and extend the network wirelessly from the main mothership?

Funny thing... When I was a kid, my mom got me brand new AI's (back in like 2001) with 'AI' embedded on the back of the shoe. You can guess how that played out on the court/practice :D
