Hi again,

As a web developer, I created many online businesses, but due to the lack of time for all my projects, I decided to sell some my readymade business projects. Prices: from 4 figures.

Need advice on how to do this as safely as possible and where to start?

I want to avoid scam and time wasters.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

At that price range you won't be working with a broker, who takes a commission by seeking a buyer from his existing clientele or finds new contacts. They work bigger deals.

Another option would be to either sell directly to an interested party that reaches out to you or that you find. You can use Escrow to safely transfer the money and assets with each party confirming in steps along the way that both are playing nicely and are satisfied.

Your best bet is to get your projects out in front of as many eyeballs as possible. And that would be in an open marketplace like Flippa that will let you list non-earning or very low-earning sites. You can let people bid their way up to a good price and you can set a "buy it now" price you'd be happy with as well. Flippa will handle the payment processing, which is nice.

Yes, you are right about brokers. Ideally for me is to find buyers directly without intermediaries. My online business is related to selling my own website software all over the world in different niches. I created everything myself from scratch and everything is automated.
So maybe there are some groups/communities with potential buyers and without timewasters.

Empire Flippers and FEInternational are the two names I've known clients used in the past/have met some of the folks from etc. Both seem to have good reputations. Worth investigating imo. (Full disclosure, Empire Flippers have previously recommended us as a white hat link building agency - https://empireflippers.com/two-pillars-seo-outsourcing/).

However I'm not sure on the deal sizes they work with - I think you may be way too small for FEI but perhaps if the businesses are similar they could be batched together and sold to one buyer as a business by EF?

As a rule smaller things are much harder to sell than bigger things when it comes to random internet assets...

Yes, I have a small business projects (revenue on average $2.5-$3k/month), but with potential for growth. I want to find genuine buyers, not time wasters.

Just write a BST they're 40$.

Yeah you're gonna have to deal with some idiots messaging you.
So what, shoot them down or ignore them.

Worst thing that happens is you figure out nobody wants to buy your old assets for what you think they're worth and you're out 40$ and an hour or 2.

I have excellent ready made online business projects in which I am confident. I’m looking to sell inexpensively, for ~18x monthly profit, so I am sure that a buyer will be found very quickly.
