Shortly put.

I started a sub for pop culture mixed with general news. This sub has become the top 5 of Reddit in a competitive category.

Billion-dollar brands have started using it, posting content to their sites to get traffic.

I've also tested how fast a post on it can show up in search, and it's overnight.

I was going to sell it at first but stopped myself as I see it's worth far more than what I can gauge currently.

My question: how much bigger will Reddit go in 2027? Especially after the news that they aren't too thrilled about Google borrowing content for AI results, as it's killing traffic.

Is it possible 2027 will be Reddit's year to move some of the top social media platforms down a notch on the top lists?

And also, how much more of 'brand reputation' will depend on reddit after this dominant year?

Congrats!

the competitive category is about music or news. You can give a generic reply. Just thinking what kind of mix and match subreddit would work there.

i'm marketing in one support duper competitive niche there.

it is growing especially I see with people asking for product/service recommendations there. From my research it will increase at least till 2030 and beyond.

whether it moves the other platforms or not, it has traffic that convert in many niches which I feel is more important.

The entire challenge there seems to be able to grow authority and bypass any mods.

brands mentioned on reddit may have more weightage in AI with time. I'm sure google has some love for sites that are creditable there.

I have built a tool around it to find me leads for specific niches once they are posted and working out different strategies to build credibility there and have a presence where it matters.
