I have been on this forum for about 10 years and reading CCarter's stuff for a lot longer than that, back to the old blogs. Almost 20 years of reading. So this isnt a newbie post. This is a post from a guy who had every single answer sitting right in front of him the whole time and still managed to do almost nothing with it for years. Im writing it bc I think there are a lot more of me lurking on here than anyone admits.
Quick background. I have a software product for car dealers that got its first real customers in April. Site is basically brand new. A couple weeks ago I posted in the Avalanche thread that content was bringing me a few leads a day and half of them convert. Good, not great. And I was fine with it. That was the whole problem.
Here is what I was doing for most of this year. I was out here lazy af trying to crack some code. Some magic combination of on page stuff and content and links that would rank me in the serps and make the leads show up while I slept. And look, it works to an extent. SEO does bring leads and traffic. I was getting a passive 2-5 leads a day from it and I was treating that like the finish line instead of the starting line.
Best way I can describe it is I planted a seed and never watered it. I would walk outside every morning and stare at the dirt like "any day now" and then go back inside and read another thread. Reading felt like progress. It wasnt. It was me waiting for something to come to life that I never gave a single reason to come to life. You cannot outread the work. I tried for years lol.
The moment it clicked wasnt some big epiphany either. It was honestly kind of embarrassing. I was rereading Traffic Leaks for probably the 10th time and realized I could recite the whole thing from memory and I had executed maybe 5 percent of it. I knew the play. I knew the platforms. I knew the psychology. I knew about stirring emotion and that invisible line where people strongly agree or disagree and how toeing that line prints engagement even on brand new accounts. I knew about the Avalanche and building up from the bottom with a thousand cuts. I had the whole friggin playbook in my head and it was worth exactly nothing bc it was still in my head.
So about two weeks ago I stopped waiting and started doing all of it. Not one thing. All of it.
Cold email to the exact people who buy what I sell. LinkedIn every single day. The Avalanche drip on the site instead of dumping batches and praying. Medium and Quora filed where the actual audience is instead of where the topic "belongs." The forums in my niche where the buyers hang out. Subtle trolling to stir up emotion and get eyes where the eyes already are. Traffic leaks exactly how CCarter laid them out, just on the 2026 platforms. Paid ads on top of all of it. And bc there is one of me and about a dozen platforms, I built AI agents that run the outreach and the posting on a schedule so nothing ever goes cold again. I read the results and steer. The agents do the reps.
Today I got 30 leads in a single day.
Read that against 2-5 a day a month ago. Same product. Same site. Same guy. The only variable that changed is I started doing the stuff I already knew how to do.
So here is the part I actually came here to say. These methods work. Traffic leaks work. The Avalanche works. Rage bait works. Outreach works. They work right now, in 2026, with AI everywhere and the serps being a mess and all of it. But none of them worked for me for years and that was never the methods fault. The one thing missing from the equation was application. You can have all the knowledge in the world and its total dogshit unless you actually do something with it. The second you do, and I mean actually do it, daily, on every front, without waiting for permission or perfect conditions, thats when you become a killer. Not one day before. There is no amount of reading that turns you into one. I checked.
Im going to be real with you bc I wish somebody had been real with me sooner. This costs something. It cost me nights and weekends and comfort and the cute little story I told myself that I was "still learning." If you arent willing to sacrifice for it, and if you arent willing to look inside and realize there is actual greatness sitting at the core of your soul that you have been ignoring, you might not be cut out for this. Thats not an insult. Its just the price. But if you are willing, I promise you this forum has literally every tool you need to become a total success, still to this day. Im living proof of that, and I did it late and lazy. So imagine what happens if you start now and start hungry.

I would read something you wrote in 2015 and it would rattle around in my head for months. When I finally reached out a few weeks ago ready to hand you money, you looked at my site and told me it was too new and to come back later. Who does that. That honesty is why this place is still standing when every other forum from that era is an archive.org ruin. I owe you a lot more than a thank you post but this is where it starts.
Honestly, how am I supposed to go back to a 9-5 after understanding this power? I cant. Once you watch leads come in bc of something you did on purpose that morning, you cant unsee it.
